Enhancing Comfort and Aesthetics: A High-Efficiency Mini-Split Install with Airdeko, TitanOutlet, and Fresh-Aire UV
A high-efficiency mini-split system was the perfect choice for heating and cooling our backyard office shed, ensuring year-round comfort while maintaining energy efficiency. However, I don’t think my neighbors were going to be too excited about appearance of the outdoor unit. We found a super cool solution to this problem. To address this, we installed an Airdeko cover on the exterior condenser, transforming it into a stylish design feature. This limited-edition Airdeko cover is inspired by the bold, abstract compositions of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, adding a vibrant and artistic touch to the outdoor space. With clean lines, this cover turns a necessary utility into a modern design statement that really complemented our modern shed design.
For the interior, we utilized the RoughinBox from Marketair, a game-changer in simplifying the rough-in process. This innovative solution provides a structured, secure mounting area for the mini-split line set, electrical wiring, and drain line. By using the RoughinBox, we ensured a professional and clean installation, eliminating the hassle of routing lines through tight wall spaces. This method not only saves time but also improves the overall functionality and aesthetics of the system inside the shed.
To further enhance the installation, we incorporated the TitanOutlet from Airex Manufacturing, providing a super clean, professional-looking lineset while helping maintain an airtight building envelope. This addition ensures that the mini-split system operates at peak efficiency while minimizing energy loss, making the shed even more comfortable and cost-effective to heat and cool. To enhance air quality, we installed the Fresh-Aire UV Mini UV LED system, a compact yet powerful air purification solution. This system helps neutralize airborne bacteria, viruses, and mold while reducing allergens and odors. In addition to helping keep the interior air clean, it also helps keep the internal components free from bacterial growth. By integrating UV purification with the mini-split, we created a workspace that not only maintains optimal temperature but also promotes better respiratory health.
